monday 3rd october
pre planning for music video

planning all equipment

create a storyboard for the music video

bring in props for the music.organise group for what roles they have.

we have also made and designed a mood board for the actual theme of the music video. we have found many locations for the set.
- memorial park
- priory place
- lady herbert gardens
- coventry markets rooftops

the storyboard - the story board of the music video is a indie love story.

  • Existing text analysis(either Music Videos or short films/opening sequences)

  • Research into film/music video director

  • Treatment - The final video may not consist of so many different specific shots. The video will consist of two days out so majority of the video will be from a point of view shot. This will consist of a love story within the day out. The fairytale theme may not work well so we have decided to go with a colour theme. One piece of clothing or accessorie will be a specific colour for example, I will be asking the people who are participating to be wearing marron/blue. The love bit will be shown with an accoustic guitar audio over the picture.

  • Mood board

  • Risk assessment for each location

  • Ask artist for permission via Email, Twitter, Myspace Etc (Music Videos only)

  • Timeline analysis of chosen song  (Music Videos only)

  • Storyboard done

  • Crew list

  • Shot list

  • Locations list

  • Film test footage/pictures of location

  • Planning rest of Mise En Scene (clothing, props, make-up, effects etc)
the plot synopsis of the music video is to make a indie categorised music video. the plot is a kind of love chase day to day music video.

Pitch to gain feedback (presentation to the class about the ideas) - the pitch to gain feedback is by giving a presentation about what the music video is going to be about. we will be talking about the locations, props that we will use and the style of music we will be using in the video.
